"If you could sit with your 25 year old self for just five minutes, what truths about love, purpose, and happiness would you want them to know — and why?"
Through this project, we invite you to share your reflections, lessons learned, and the wisdom you’ve gained over the years. Every insight helps create a space to guide and inspire others.

Why This Project Matters
I am writing a book called A Life Well‑Lived, which explores the recipe for a happy, content, and thriving life. Through my research, I’ve discovered that lasting well‑being depends on several key ingredients — nurturing healthy relationships, caring for both body and mind, and growing through the challenges that shape us. I’m now reaching out to wise and experienced individuals who have lived full lives and can share the lessons they’ve learned along the way — the choices that led to fulfillment, the regrets that taught them the most, and the values that sustain true happiness. I believe the insight of older generations holds deep meaning for those still finding their path, and my hope is to bring these voices together in a book that bridges generations, offering timeless guidance for living well.
This project is a dedicated space to harvest that quiet wisdom. We are seeking the “wisdom keepers” among us—those who have lived, stumbled, and grown—to share the insights that took a lifetime to understand. Your reflections aren’t just stories; they are a map for the next generation to see further, choose more clearly, and step around the pitfalls of the past.
The Journey Toward a Life Well-Lived
Chris Ellison, BSW, MSW, MBA
For twenty-five years, I have navigated the most complex landscape on Earth: the human spirit. In my clinical practice, I’ve walked alongside people through the shadows of their heaviest traumas, but I’ve learned that a “life well lived” is about more than just surviving the storm—it requires the audacity to chase the horizon.
My perspective is grounded in the balance between deep clinical understanding and the practical experience of a life lived outside the therapy room. With a Master of Social Work, an MBA, and half a lifetime of real-world experience, I’ve come to see fulfillment not as an abstract feeling, but as a “recipe”—a tangible set of principles that anyone can use to build a life of purpose and resilience.
I believe in high-definition and on-purpose living. Whether I was soaring in formation with the Canadian Snowbirds, photographing grizzlies in the wild, or producing a new song in the studio, my time as a photojournalist and musical artist taught me that obstacles are rarely barriers—they are solutions in disguise. I’ve learned to look past the surface of a challenge to find the inherent value waiting to be uncovered.
Today, my mission is Wisdom Harvesting. I am gathering the hard-won truths of our “Seasoned Voices” to build a bridge across generations. Through the lens of clinical insight and the power of creative storytelling, I am capturing the lessons that truly matter, ensuring they serve as a guide for those following behind us.
How will this information be used?
As a clinician and researcher, I approach every submission with the utmost respect for the contributor’s voice and experience. The insights shared here serve as the primary research for a forthcoming book, editorial features, and the development of the ‘architecture of the human spirit.’ By participating, you are contributing your story to a collective legacy; your involvement serves as permission for your wisdom to be included in our living archive and published works. Our goal is to ensure these “Seasoned Voices” are preserved with accuracy and warmth, creating a roadmap for generations to come.
The Big Question
If you could sit with your 25 year old self for just five minutes, what truths about love, purpose, and happiness would you want them to know — and why?
